OWNER's MANUAL FOR YOUR DOG:

8 weeks

• First trip to the doctor for physical examination and consultation to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding your puppy's health and growth.
• first DHPP (Distemper-Hepatittis-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus) and Bordetella vaccinations.
• Test stool sample for parasites.
• Start puppy on heartworm preventative. (Start your puppy at this early age and blood testing for heartworm is unnecessary).
• Begin basic puppy training.

12 weeks

• Second DHPP vaccination.
• Start brushing your puppy's teeth to keep teeth clean and gums healthy.

16 weeks

• Third DHPP vaccination.
• First rabies vaccination (Good for 1 year.)

1 year

• Change your dog's diet to a premium adult diet.

15 months

• Rabies vaccination. This vaccine is effective for 3 years.

Every Year

• Booster vaccinations for DHPP and Bordetella.
• A physical exam is highly recommended for early detection of problems.
